Quick answer

A digital business card is a mobile-friendly contact page people can open from a link, QR code or compatible NFC tag. It presents who you are and offers a contact download. The QRflick card editor keeps drafts separate from publishing, so you can check changes before visitors see them.

Make the card useful after the meeting

A name and logo help someone recognize you, but the next action matters more. Include the contact channel you actually use, a clear role and a relevant website or portfolio. Check that a visitor can save the contact or get in touch without guessing.

Keep optional links focused. A short selection of current work is more useful than every social account you have ever created. Use the phone preview to check the order, spelling and appearance before publishing.

QR sharing and NFC sharing use the same destination

A QR code is read by a camera. An NFC tag opens a stored link when a compatible phone detects it. Both can point to your published card, so updating your contact page keeps either sharing method useful.

NFC hardware is separate from the app and must be compatible with your phone and writing tool. Include a QR or plain-link fallback for people who cannot use NFC. Test the actual card or tag rather than relying on a preview image.

Manage leads and team identities deliberately

Paid plans add extras such as galleries, lead forms and wallet passes. These solve different tasks: publishing your own card is not the same as collecting someone else’s details.

For a team on Business, check the role, company name and contact information on every card. Publish changes only when they are ready, and review who can edit the shared workspace. A polished card is most valuable when its information stays accurate.

Questions, answered

Is a digital card the same as a vCard?

No. A digital card is a web page. A vCard is a contact file people can save; a digital card offers that file as one of its actions.

Do visitors need to install anything?

No. They open the public card in a browser. Saving the contact depends on how their phone handles the downloaded contact file.

Does the price include an NFC card?

No. Compatible NFC cards or tags are purchased separately. QRflick supplies the link and a setup guide, not the physical hardware.
