  3. On the General tab, scroll to Signature and click Create new. Give it a name.
  4. Click in the signature box and paste (Ctrl+V, or ⌘V on a Mac).
  5. Under Signature defaults, pick it for new emails and for replies and forwards.
  6. Scroll to the bottom and click Save changes.

Tips

  • If Gmail says the signature is too long, turn off the disclaimer or pick a simpler template (Compact).
  • Images come from our servers, so the people you write to see them. Don't use "Insert image" in Gmail.
  • The Gmail phone app only sends a plain-text signature. See "Signatures on your phone".
